ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Development Specialist is a key member of the Sales team responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while building, maintaining, and growing customer relationships. This role manages inbound customer orders, quotations, shipping coordination, pricing inquiries, and day-to-day account support. The successful candidate will also contribute to project management, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling to support business growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage inbound customer inquiries, quotations, and order fulfillment.
  • Deliver exceptional service while building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Coordinate immediate and future customer procurement requirements.
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow IHL's owned and partner brands.
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitive activity.
  • Participate in vendor training to strengthen product and technical knowledge.
  • Develop expertise across product categories to provide consultative sales support.
  • Represent IHL at promotions, customer events, and trade shows.
  • Support the Sales team in developing strategies to grow customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to support new product launches and innovation.
  • Participate in company promotions and events, including trade shows.
  • Support the Executive Sales team to develop new strategies & ideas to accelerate customer growth.
  • Works closely with the Product development team to support the growth of new and innovative products.
