Description
H. Paulin Construction Screw, Series: B214 Series, Measurement System: Imperial, 8 in Thread, 2-1/2 in Overall Length, Flat Head, Carbon Steel, Square Drive, Yellow Zinc Plated, Type 17 Thread
Construction Screws are recommended for interior construction projects. Flat head provides self-countersinking and reinforced neck provides an increase in driving torque with a square drive for non-slip cling fit. Revolutionary "Sawtooth" coarse threads deliver extra holding power, faster uniform drawdown, requires less driving torque, and reduces splitting. A 15% thread improvement and a cutting feature outperform traditional Type ‘17’ thread cutting screws. Extra sharp point easily penetrate wood without pre-drilling. Yellow zinc dichromate plated provides corrosion resistance but is not recommended for ACQ lumber or exterior applications.
Features
- The yellow zinc coating applied serves as a protective barrier against moderate corrosion resistance
- Yellow zinc fasteners are three times more corrosion resistant than regular zinc
- Flat Head - designed to countersink and is ideal where application requires a flat smooth surface after screw installation
- For flat head, length is measured from the top of the head
- Used for interior construction projects
- The Sawtooth coarse thread delivers extra holding power, faster uniform drawdown, requires less driving torque, and reduces splitting
- Can easily penetrate wood without pre-drilling
- Not recommended for ACQ lumber or exterior applications
- Square Bit #2
