Another excellent feature of the Makita DTM52Z, is the StarlockMax® System or tool-less clamp system which provides maximum performance and efficiency for faster accessory installation. The variable speed control dial (10,000 - 20,000 OPM) with soft-start gradually increases its speed to eliminate start up shock and allows the user to adjust speed based on materials or application. It’s equipped with Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT®), an internal counterbalance system engineered to reduce vibration. The small diameter barrel grip provides improved handling and a large on/off slide switch with lock-on button providing convenience for user.
